As early childhood in the village, Frederick was one of the naughtiest, stealing, fighting, and even start his very first job in his 9years old by collecting empty tins from house to house, drainage and look in the garbage can. . He was actually a brilliant person, he can score passing marks in UPSR and SPM without studying. Tragedy happen when he was 10, he been kidnapped, the kidnapper actually wanted to kill him, strangle him with plastic warp but miracle appears, he did not died and been dump into bushes, the poor boy slowly regain conscious, wake up and ran toward crowded area. The kidnappers called his family for ransom but without knowing the boy has returned, with assist of police, all of the kidnapper been caught and jailed. He was traumatize for two years in home fear to go out from the house from 10-12 years old untill he was in secondary school. Since then he did not fear much.
At 13 from the first day of secondary school life, he got bullied by other student,then he start to befriend with gang members in secondary school, from there he learn how to smoke, skip class and extortion.
Because he also take school bus to school in the afternoon, he start to skip school with other school mate.
In the same school bus, he fell in love with two girl before. The first girl, name is Yan, he always look at her in the bus.. slowly he fell in love with her.. at that age Fed did not have much money, he save for a month and skip school to buy her an RM45 ring, he tried to give her, but she rejected him, and afraid.. she change bus.
At 14, a new same age as him board the same bus called Wong Yee Ling, for half a year he tried to befriend her and often got rejected. So bravely, he buys an rose and knelt her for her to accept her in the bus. As expected, he got rejected... so he decide wait at the same place where the girl wait hope she will look on him, but she dint. Embarrassed, he stop going school eventually and got expelled from Anderson High School.
At the new school, he begin to love another girl, name is forgotten but she tell him that she was only playful. Even they dated for two week, he never forget her.
When he was 15, then he meet a girl name Ah Ying , every morning he will cycle to her house and then go to school together and after school he will cycle back to her home. But soon, he left her because she date another guy out. In around 2011, he saw her, but she already married.
during this year he went out wondering around, hang out with friends, practicing hip hop dance at night , sometimes sleep at playground with his group of friends. In those years going Disco was every young person heaven, Then he start to hang out with those more worst, those who take drug,he start to take drug.
In his life time, he never told anyone of his closest circle about the darkside he have, thats why he was afraid to bring his beloved Yi Mun to meet his old friend, because there was nothing proud to be known and see. It have been his secret for life and the fact is, he only fully stop using drugs when he was in love with Yi Mun because he have an direction, she is his pride and success, he even get rid of smoking because of her.
In 16, his father force him to learn something which have technical skill so he wont be a useless person. But he was not interested in repairing hand phone, so after learning for about a year, he got employed as an hand-phone technician, but without any success and interest in the industry he leave it. He continue to hang out everyday at 17 until one day he start to look for job, he doesn't like to be a crude laborer so he tried to look for easier job.
Frederick just wanted to look for an low pay and easy job such as promoter or sales person in shopping mall. From there he learns how important of education to be successful, because a simple low paid job need a person to finish and pass in his secondary exam, how about those high paid or better job. So by Age 17 he decide to enroll into private school as government school would not accept him. He enroll into Methodist High School, there the school live is more comfortable as the school has less rule than ordinary school. Student attend school with ordinary street footwear. All student is not required to an assembly, anyone can walk in and out of the school. He study in the school for 2 and half years until the age of 19.
